Where to find us during ONS 2026
Every other year, the energy world moves to Stavanger for a week. The 2024 edition of ONS gathered 72,676 visitors from around 100 countries and more than 1,100 exhibiting companies, and from August 24 to 27 it happens again, this time under the theme Courage.
We'll be all over it. Here's the full list of where we are and what we're up to, including the parts you don't need an ONS pass for.
The tent at Vågen
The exhibition halls require a ticket, but the evenings belong to everyone. From August 24 to 26, Stavanger harbour turns into ONS+, a small village of energy with pavilions, boats, debates and concerts, all of it free and open to the whole city. And people show up: the harbour concert alone drew more than 28,000 people in 2024.
This time we're right in the middle of it, hosting Tent 6 together with Equinor and Aibel, with a program running all week. Here's a few of the highlights:
Monday 19:00-20:00: Global Scale-up Showcase, the nine scale-ups we're bringing from Norway, Brazil, the UK and the US take the stage at ONS to present their business models, traction and growth plans. Read more →
Tuesday, Students' day: STEM, careers and young talent. Real-world challenges, reverse job interviews, AI, and the ONS Young innovation sprint finals at 15:00.
Wednesday 17:00 - Offshore Norge gathers Norway's leading energy politicians on the tent stage for the week's big energy debate: what kind of energy nation should Norway be, and what happens to the shelf towards 2050? Open to everyone.
The Scale-Up Pitch Competition
The Scale-Ups venue in Hall 4, right next to Net Zero Markets, is where the energy sector's growth companies set up shop during ONS. These aren't idea-stage startups: the companies exhibiting there are between seed and Series B, with products already in the market, external funding, and pilots or paying customers behind them. What they're looking for is the next client, market or investor, and with more than 70,000 energy professionals passing through ONS during the week, this is a good place to look.
And twice that week, it gets competitive: the Scale-Up Pitch Competition is back after its debut in 2024, run by ONS together with us. Eight shortlisted companies pitch live over two lunchtime sessions, in front of a jury, an audience, and a room full of potential customers. Our founder Nils-Henrik Stokke hosts both sessions.
🎤Tuesday August 25, 11:30–12:30, Hall 4, Stage 3

Nine startups from four countries
Through our Startup Exchange program, we're bringing nine promising startups from the US, the UK, Brazil and Norway to Stavanger. The program is a collaboration with Equinor, Greentown Labs, North America's largest climatetech incubator, and Startuplab, Norway's largest tech incubator. The nine arrive on Sunday August 23, and you can catch them pitching in the tent on Monday evening. Read all about them here.
Want to meet one of them during the week? Reach out to Elianne at elianne@innovationdock.no and she'll take it from there.
