BikeFinder has had an exciting journey since starting up in 2014, after experiencing a big bike theft during a World Cup race, Ole Martin Ølmheim asked himself how this problem of stolen bikes could be solved. He quickly realized that a tracking device with GPS and internet connectivity – suitable for any type of bike – would be the ultimate tool. He then founded BikeFinder, and the rest is history...! So let's fast forward to 2020; BikeFinder is now one of those must-watch companies, working together with some of the finest investors Norway has to offer. Located right here at the dock, this amazing crew is now looking for a new team player.
Position: Full stack developer
As part of the BikeFinder team, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining BikeFinder App
- Developing front end website architecture
- Designing user interactions on web pages
- Developing back end applications and creating servers and databases
- Building reusable code and pattern libraries
- Developing and testing new modules and APIs
- Continuously improving the existing software
- Ensuring CI/CD using Jira and GIT
- Working closely with product owner to transform visions into reality
- Participating in shaping BikeFinder's product and services
- Keeping up to date with relevant technology and competencies within your field of expertise, sharing your knowledge with your team members
The technologies used today:
- Frontend: HTML/CSS, WordPress, Elementor, WooCommerce, React Native
- Backend: Cloud functions for firebase, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node JS, PHP
- Database: Firebase Storage, Firebase Firestore
- Development: Git, Visual Studio Code, XCode, Android Studio
- Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform, Digital Ocean Cloud, Cloudflare, GitHub
- Security: Auth0, HTTPS
Desired technical qualifications:
- Bachelor or master’s degree within the field of Computer Science or equivalent education/experience
- Over 3 years of experience in development of web applications
- Experienced in JavaScript and typeScript.
- Proven experience as developer
- Experienced with defining and building APIs
- Experienced with React Native for cross platform app development
- Experienced with Google Cloud Platform services
- Experienced in WordPress and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with WooCommerce and Stripe is a plus
